An interest in a reading often stems from curiosity. However, readings can offer a fresh perspective on personal dilemmas, highlight hidden opportunities, and offer emotional support during challenging times. Whether you are curious or seeking clarity, reassurance, and hope, you may be ready for a reading.
What to expect.
Expertise. Experienced readers with a proven track record may charge premium rates ($150-$350+), but there are also skilled practitioners who offer reasonable rates and high-quality readings.
Specialty Services. Some practitioners specialize in particular types of readings or use specific techniques. There are numerous options.
Session Length. Longer sessions may cost more, but sessions are typically between 60-75 minutes. Depending on the practitioner, prices may range from $75-$350.
Location: Readings are usually conducted in person, by phone, or by video conference. Ideally, readings happen in a quiet, professional environment that offers a safe, confidential space without interruptions.
Where to start.
Decide on the type of reading you want and why. What information do you seek? What areas of your life do you have questions about? Where do you need insight, reassurance, or guidance?
Research the practitioner. Look for a website or professional profile with a bio, reading options, prices, and testimonials. Meet them beforehand, if possible, at an event or class, for example, or get referrals. Go with what feels safe and right.
Schedule your reading. Appointments are typically made online, by email, text, or phone. Some practitioners may book out a week or more, while others may have immediate availability. Availability alone isn't an indication of quality, so research the practitioner before scheduling.
Confirm appointment and prepare. Practitioners have different methods for confirming appointments and accepting payments. Most readers require prepayment to hold an appointment. If there are any follow-up emails regarding what to expect, pre-appointment requests, or suggestions, be sure to read through them.
You’re booked! What now? A successful reading depends not only on a practitioner, but also on you and how prepared you are. What you put into it is what you get out of it.
