Preparing for a Successful Reading
This blog entry is the fifth installment of a five-blog series on Understanding Readings.
You’ve scheduled your appointment with a practitioner! You likely paid the fee and received confirmation along with any necessary information. Now you can prepare for a meaningful reading.

To get the most out of your reading, you want to clear your head of expectations and open your heart to whatever information you may receive. Clarify your questions without giving away too much personal information. Determine your priorities: What area of your life is most important to understand right now? Your practitioner may request your questions in advance or bring them to the session. Click here for a checklist on how to prepare for your reading.
What You Should Not Expect.
100% accuracy. Readers make mistakes, and none are perfectly precise all the time. Readers interpret intuitive impressions, which may come in the form of symbols, letters, numbers, images, locations, or messages. Those impressions must then be interpreted and communicated in a way that makes sense to you.
Rigid Timelines. Dates and exact timeframes are often fluid in readings. A reader may receive an impression associated with a season or weather, but that doesn't necessarily indicate a specific year or month.
Mind Reading. This may sound counterintuitive (pun intended). Practitioners interpret intuitive impressions and symbols, not your exact, literal thoughts.
Lottery Numbers. If we could do this, we wouldn’t be offering you readings! Readings don't provide get-rich-quick codes or absolute financial guarantees.
Medical diagnosis. An intuitive reading is not a substitute for medical or mental health care, and practitioners should not diagnose physical or mental illnesses.
Legal Advice. A reading is not a substitute for professional legal advice and should not be used to resolve legal matters.
What a Reading is Not.
A replacement for free will. Readings may offer possible paths or perspectives, but your choices are your own and can influence what happens next.
Fortune-telling. Readings are a tool for self-reflection and guidance, not an unchangeable script of your future or a quick answer to life's questions.
A Magic Fix. The session offers clarity, but you must still do the real-world work to improve your life.
A Curse or Hex Removal. Be wary of practitioners who claim you need to pay additional money to remove a curse, hex, bad luck, or evil spirits. These fear-based tactics are a red flag.
Intuitive readings can offer information and perspectives that may help you gain clarity, seek emotional closure, navigate life transitions, or explore questions about meaning and purpose. Whether you’re a skeptic or a believer, a reading can be an opportunity for reflection, curiosity, and a deeper look at the questions that matter to you.
